MrMinimalist

Who we are

This website is Mr Minimalist (https://mrminimalist.co.za). We sell wallets online to customers in South Africa.

This page explains what information the site uses when you browse or place an order. It is a description of current systems, not a claim that a lawyer has certified compliance with POPIA or any other law.

Information we handle

If you place an order we receive the details needed to fulfil it, typically your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, order contents, and payment status. If you create an account, we also store your login and account profile. Guest checkout is available and does not require an account.

Server and security logs may include IP address, browser type, and pages requested.

Payments

Card and supported wallet payments are processed by Yoco. We do not store your full card number on this website. Yoco handles the payment under its own terms and privacy notice.

Orders and store software

The shop runs on WordPress and WooCommerce. Order, cart, and checkout data are stored so we can pack, dispatch, and support the order. Delivery is arranged through the shipping method shown at checkout (currently PUDO for qualifying South African orders).

Measurement and advertising

We use the following measurement tools on this website:

  • Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 — to understand page views and shop events (for example product views, add to cart, begin checkout, and purchase).
  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API, via the official Meta / Facebook for WooCommerce plugin — to measure visits and purchases for advertising. This may include a browser identifier and the order value and product identifiers we send for that event.

Google and Meta are independent companies. Their tools may process information on servers outside South Africa. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.

Other plugins are installed that can process store or visit data if they are active (including Google Site Kit, Google for WooCommerce, Jetpack, Mailchimp for WooCommerce, and Pinterest for WooCommerce). We do not use this page to claim that every one of those tools is sending data on every visit.

There is currently no cookie-consent banner. Whether one is required is a legal question for the owner — it is not decided by this page.

Cookies

The site uses cookies and similar storage for the shopping cart, checkout, login (if you have an account), and the measurement tools above. You can block cookies in your browser; the shop may then not work correctly.

How long we keep information

Order records are kept as long as needed for fulfilment, accounting, payment disputes, and legal record-keeping. Exact retention periods have not been published here and should be confirmed by the owner.

Your requests

If you want to know what information we hold about an order, or want it corrected or deleted where we are able to do so, contact us using the email on your order confirmation from MrMinimalist, or via our Instagram or Facebook pages linked in the site footer. We may need to keep some records (for example paid invoices) even after a deletion request.

Changes

We may update this page when the systems on the site change. The published date is the page’s last update in WordPress.
